This is very good news in my opinion. Losing the Gator Bowl is disappointing, but our old lineup was BCS, Gator or Sun on a rotating basis (never both in the same year), Car Care, Papa John's Bowl, then International.
The new agreements will most likely be BCS, Champs, Sun, Car Care, St. Petersburg, and probably Papa John's or another TBD bowl.
Overall we've gone from ND taking a Sun or Gator slot 2 out of the 4 years to once out of the 4 years, better destinations in each bowl, and a move up in bowl slots for teams 3-6. Only major negative is not having a New Year's bowl outside of the BCS, but most people feel Orlando is better than Jacksonville as a destination, and the payout is about the same. A surprisingly good development.
