I don't follow women's basketball too much, but there have been some interesting developments at UC this and last year. Click on the article here to read. Basically, Coach Elliot, who had won multiple championships at UConn both as a player and assistant coach, in as little as two years has SIGNIFICANTLY upgraded the talent on our roster. She signed Kayla Cook, the all time leading scorer in the state of Ohio, a top JUCO, and now Banks, a top B10 player at Michigan who has decided to transfer to UC. With the right coach and good roster I see no reason why women's basketball can't be a fan friendly sport that when successful, draws enough support to at least break even.
